The purpose of this research is to develop and use a multi-dimensional telemedicine patient satisfaction assessment tool to collect telemedicine patient satisfaction data in a variety of settings. As described in the objectives for fiscal year 2023, a large-scale, global survey was conducted across a variety of countries, cultures, and healthcare settings with our telemedicine patient satisfaction survey instrument. More specifically, telemedicine satisfaction survey responses were collected from patients living in nine countries: Japan, Canada, India, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. In total, a little more than 2000 responses were collected, with over 200 responses per country listed.

A portion of my planned expenses was for travel abroad to consult with international research collaborators. Cost savings were realized by performing this travel at the same time as another overseas business trip. As a result, I was able to share costs and reduce the overall cost burden to my KAKENHI budget. These surplus funds will be added to my grant requested for fiscal year 2024 and 2025 to cover planned expenditures, such as international conference presentation fees and journal publication fees, both of which will likely cost more than expected due to current weakness in the yen.
