研究実績の概要 |
Telomere length (TL) has been proposed as a biomarker of biological aging. Assuming positive deviants as individuals with a longer TL compared to their peers, I am conducting a community-based cross-sectional study to identify PD characteristics that have the potential to prevent biological aging using the data/biological samples of approximately 1000 participants from the Iwaki health promotion project. The data usage application and the ethical procedure were performed in 2023FY. The questionnaire data and biological sample data were acquired. We will additionally measure the biochemical variables in the urine samples. The protocols and experiment conditions were tested, and trial measurements were performed. The preliminary data analysis of descriptive data was performed.

理由
There was an unexpected delay in the measurements of variables in urine samples. Due to the change of the affiliation and work location of the principal researcher in the middle of the project, the ethical procedure and material transfer of the samples were performed accordingly to process the data analysis and sample measurements. Thus, the research is slightly behind schedule.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
I plan to perform urine samples analytical measurements, data analysis, and interpretation of results. I will present the research findings at domestic and international conferences. Moreover, I will prepare the manuscript and publish it in an international peer-reviewed journal.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
The unused amount was due to the delayed experiments. The experiments will be conducted subsequently, and the funds will be used to purchase reagents and consumable items. I also plan to use the funding for attending international conferences and article publication fees.
