研究実績の概要 |
I have published two articles in international peer-reviewed academic journals that link work-family and family-work conflict to working mothers' career and health-related outcomes in Japan. These journal articles also examine moderating effects of job and community embeddedness between the relationships of work-family conflict and career and health-related outcomes. The findings suggest that job and community embeddedness have different moderating effects between work-family and family-work conflict and work-related outcomes. Both of these journal articles are directly related to my KAKENHI research project. I have presented these papers in international academic conferences. Furthermore, I have collected with three online surveys at three different points in time survey data from more than 700 working mothers in Japan over a 14-months time period. These time-lagged surveys link work-family and family-work conflict and other stress-related constructs to voluntary turnover and career-related (job promotions and wages) and health-related (emotional exhaustion and physical health) outcomes. The surveys that also consist of job and community embeddedness scales build on my previous research findings.

I am currently analyzing my time-lagged survey data and writing papers to be later presented in international academic conferences and submitted to international peer-reviewed academic journals.
