Researcher Pu’s research is focused on exploring Japanese college students’ trust in science in the post-epidemic era. To investigate this topic, she has conducted a mixed-methods study that combines both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis. For the quantitative component, this research has already finished collecting the trust in science questionnaire to a sample of Japanese college students. The questionnaire aims to measure various dimensions of trust in science and collect demographic information to examine potential differences in trust across groups. For the qualitative component, Researcher Pu has conducted in-depth interviews with a subset of participants including Chinese students studying in Japan to gain a deeper understanding of their attitudes and beliefs towards science, as well as the factors that shape their trust in science. During the current year of research, Researcher Pu has already finished six academic papers, three of them was publicly published.
