研究実績の概要 |
In 2023, we preliminarily analyzed the geological and topographical features of some deep-seated landslides that occurred in the Kii Peninsula in 2011. We also conducted field surveys on some landslides triggered by the 2024 Noto Earthquake. Through the field investigation, the local geological settings, topographical features, and the hydrological profiles of some landslides were clarified. Further, we collected soil samples from some of those landslides. We also analyzed the seismic response and damage evaluation of some bedding rock slopes based on the large-scale shaking table tests. The experimental analysis could improve academic understanding of the physical mechanism behind the complex failure phenomenon.

理由
The project is progressing in an orderly manner according to the original research plan. Some basic information of geological and topographic features for those deep-seated landslides had been obtained and preliminary analysis had been conducted. A series ring shear tests will be conducted on those soil samples taken from those landslides that we have surveyed in the past fiscal year. Further, a physics-based risk assessment approach will be built up for those long runout landslides triggered by earthquakes and/or rainfall.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Following the plan in the research proposal, in fiscal year 2024, we will further analyze the geological, topographical, geotechnical, and seismic response features of those landslides triggered by the 2023 and 2024 Noto Earthquakes, and those deep-seated landslides triggered by the 2011 heavy rainfall in Kii Peninsula.
