研究実績の概要 |
This year, my project focused on a smart sensor system for home-based sleep apnea diagnosis, enhancing our initial goals. We developed essential sensors and introduced a flexible barometric sensor. This sensor is sensitive to both positive and negative pressure changes, significantly improving responsiveness to various respiratory conditions. The compact and portable design of the flexible sensor allows easy integration with other sensors, crucial for practical, affordable home diagnostics. This innovation paves the way for accessible early detection, potentially transforming respiratory care management. Next, we plan to establish a database and collect data from OSA patients to further validate and refine our technology.

理由
The project is progressing rather smoothly, meeting all scheduled milestones thus far. We have successfully developed the necessary flexible sensors and have begun integrating them into our diagnostic system ahead of schedule. Additionally, the establishment of a comprehensive patient data database is well underway, which has allowed us to start the data collection phase earlier than anticipated.
Despite minor supply chain delays, we swiftly adjusted our procurement strategy, which minimally impacted our timeline. These effective management responses have ensured continuous progress.
Given our current trajectory and the proactive measures we have in place, I am confident in our project's ongoing success and timely completion.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Next steps for our project include establishing a database to manage data from OSA patients, facilitating advanced data analysis. We'll construct a smart diagnostic system integrating newly developed sensors, followed by experimental verification for accuracy and usability.
We added a flexible barometric sensor to improve sensitivity to environmental changes, addressing sensor performance variability. This enhancement adapts the system for different respiratory conditions.
We're boosting collaboration with local clinics to ensure reliable data inflow and adherence to our timeline. These steps will support timely development and testing of our diagnostic system.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
A significant portion of our budget remains due to unforeseen delays in sensor development and data collection, primarily caused by supply chain issues and restrictions at our clinical test sites.Next fiscal year, we plan to allocate these funds to:Finalize our patient data database construction.Enhance sensor features for improved data accuracy.Conduct field testing across multiple clinical sites to validate system effectiveness. These activities are crucial for the success of our project in developing accessible technology for diagnosing sleep apnea at home, aligning with our grant objectives.
