The final phase of the project consisted in making the "Memory Block" the size of a room, and porting it online. I opted to concentrate on a useful application in the field of Neurosciences called the "BrainClud" which can work on mobile devices using the principle of the "Memory Blocks". The objective is to create, maintain and explore a brain atlas of online messages, notes, and references about neurosciences. We successfully: 1)Did field research in close collaboration with the neuroscience community, in order to fix concrete goals for the system. 2)We developed a multi-user prototype effectively working online. Video demo as additional material. 3)Even if this system work on tables instead of an AR room, we pursued research on novel forms of high-speed projection mapping, including: (i)Development a set of "laser widgets" capable of simultaneous input and output. (ⅱ)Extended this idea to "acoustic phydgets". (ⅲ)Continued working on deformable interfaces. (ⅳ)Continue working on a method to create virtual displays in the air, by tracking moving objects and relying on the phenomena of afterimage. (v)Related work was performed in the lab consisting on projecting (pixelated) images through the galvano-mirror system, thus creating an ultra-fast projection mapping system without any visible delay. (ⅵ)Finally, we explored special ultra-fast projection mapping techniques using modified DLP displays.
