理由
The degree of achievement from March, 2013 - March, 2014 has been steady and has been thorough. The achievement for this year is to be noted in four conference presentations, and one publication, with two more accepted and are under consideration for publication after final peer review. We have researched the following issues: (a) lexical and syntactical complexity across various levels of fluency (b) the complexity, fluency and dysfluency of higher level TOEIC speakers, (c) possible differences in fluency, communicative confidence, and syntactical complexity with two categories of EFL speakers compared with native speakers, (d) to examine the fluency of EFL speakers and non-native speakers to see if syntactic, acoustic, lexical dysfluencies decrease with increased proficiency. Grammatical accuracy, and tonal qualities were also examined.

The presentation will take place between June 10th and June 13th in Prague, the Czech Republic, and the presentation is entitled, "How Increasing Proficiency Impacts Fluency: An Examination of Monologues and Dialogues of Japanese EFL Students." A final paper examining all of the transcripts from the four sections of the interview and taking into account three categories of EFL speakers and native speakers will follow.
