研究概要

ゲノム上の遺伝子を自由自在に改変できるようになれば、生物学全般のみならず、医療や創薬、農畜産等の分野において大きな発展が期待できる。本研究では、ジーンターゲティング（標的遺伝子破壊）技術を医療創薬の分野に応用していくことを目的とした基礎研究として、ヒト細胞のジーンターゲティング効率に大きく影響する因子の探索を行った。その結果、いくつかの遺伝子の発現抑制によりジーンターゲティング効率が上昇することが明らかとなった。
