The goal of this STAR-CODE project is to create efficient communications technologies for multi terminal nodes based on the recent advanced development of network information theory and coding theory, where the network itself expresses a structure of coding scheme. We finally achieved this goal and obtained very significant results applicable for 5G and 6G, satellites and disaster areas communication systems.
In summary, the contribution for this final years are: (1) new network capacity bounds derived from extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) analysis by exploiting (a) multiple relays, (b) multiple side information, (2) theoretical performances with finite-block length for regular and (3) for irregular degree distribution, (4) optimal degree distribution having 10 times improved network capacity using muluser detection with capability of 4 users/slot.
