The Principal Investigator presented results of the research at three international conferences and the Co-Investigator at one. With regards to publishing, the Principal Investigator edited a book entitled “New Ways in Teaching with Humor” through TESOL Press. It includes lesson plans on using
humor in language teaching from more than 80 authors around the world and will be in print for several years. Finally, the Principal Investigator submitted an 8000 word article to the International Journal of Humor Research about the results of Japanese perceptions of humor in the language
classroom. If rejected, he will submit this to another journal as soon as possible. If published, it will be the biggest report on humor in the language classroom published related to the context of Japan. The
Co-Investigator also published an article on the topic in the final year of the research project.
