研究実績の概要 |
Research was carried out in Europe (Italy and the UK) and South Asis on the impact of the global financial crisis on the human security of ethno-religious minorities. I was based at the Centre for International Studies (CIS) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where I gave a public lecture and research seminar. I, furthermore, conducted research in India in December 2016 on the impact of demonetization, a neoliberal measure, on human security among Muslims and Sikhs in India. The main research achievement of the project is a refereed article for a special issue on Ontological Security for Postcolonial Studies. This has been accepted for publication but still needs minor revisions and will be coming out this year. Consequently, most of my research focused on integrating insights from the literature on 'ontological security' into my work. Research was mainly conducted in the LSE and British libraries in London. Conference presentations were given at the International Studies Association (ISA) Asia-Pacific Region Conference in Hong Kong and the ISA Annual Convention in Baltimore, USA. Invited lectures were given in the UK at Aberystwyth University, Goldsmiths College, Kings College London, Kingston University, LSE and Newcastle University.
