In the fourth year (FY2016) the project had made great progresses in introducing various aspects of economic reality into the dynamic general equilibrium theory proposed by the researcher. In this financial year the project was concentrated on building models of interdependence between wealth accumulation, human capital accumulation, knowledge creation, economic structural change, education, preference change, environment economics, population dynamics, and portfolio equilibrium. In this year the project also started to deal with complicated issues related to portfolio equilibrium between physical capital, land, and gold. In this financial year I published 15 papers in peer-review journals and made three presentations in three international conferences. In my article “Portfolio Equilibrium between Land, Gold, and Capital in a Growth Model with Agricultural, Industrial, and Environmental Sectors”, for instance, I built an endogenous growth model of capital accumulation and environmental change with portfolio equilibrium between land, gold, and physical wealth. The model is based on microeconomic mechanisms for determining the prices, rents and distributions of land, gold, and physical wealth. I conducted comparative dynamic analysis to demonstrate how exogenous changes in the propensity to use gold, the propensity to consume housing, the propensity to consume industrial goods, the propensity to consume agricultural goods affect the economic system during transitory processes and in long-term equilibrium.

理由
In FY2016 the project had progressed almost as planned. It conducted the comprehensive reviews of the current literature of human capital accumulation, education dynamics, preference change, population economics, environment economics and resource economics. I had also constructed models to generalize and extend the dynamic general equilibrium theory that the researcher has established some years ago. The theory has become more refined due to the recent efforts. It deals with many complicated dynamic interactions between capital, environment and resources. The project also participated in some international conferences to represent the research results and to learn from other researchers in the field.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In FY2017 I will further develop my dynamic general equilibrium theory by further exploring the complexity of nonlinear dynamic interactions between human capital, preference change, environment, land distribution, gold value and distribution, renewable resource, multi-regional and multi-country economic growth and development, heterogeneous households, endogenous capital accumulation and technological change. I also begin to introduce endogenous corruption and health into my general equilibrium framework. In the early FY2017 I will study corruption and health in relatively simple analytical frameworks. As I am not familiar with the literature of economic theory on corruption and health, it will take some time for me to review the literature and to learn the previous results. The rest of the project will continue to develop an integrated economic theory on the basis on my previous research on nonlinear dynamics, economics growth with endogenous knowledge and economic structure, growth with income and wealth distribution, portfolio equilibrium between multiple assets, growth with money, growth with environment, growth with resources, and spatial economics and international economics. I will publish some papers in FY2017. I am planning to attend two international conferences. I am finishing a paper to submit to an international conference on economic issues at Mumbai, India in December, 2017.
