| 研究実績の概要 |
This year I wrote an article on the relationship between philosophy and the university. Both Kant and Rousseau were used as examples of thinkers who are critical of the way the arts and sciences are used in society and yet still understand their importance. I also have written an article on Rousseau and Kant that deals with the way that Rousseau opened up the theoretical space in which Kant wrote the Critique of Pure Reason.

理由
I have been made the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at International Christian University. 国際基督教大学の学修教育センター長になりました。This involves a lot of administrative work. I have not progressed as much as I would like, although I think this article is very good.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
I will write on how Part I (The Transcendental Doctrine of Elements) and Part II (The Transcendental Doctrine of Method) of the Critique of Pure Reason are related to each other. I have found very little research on this problem. I think that Kant took his inspiration from Rousseau, so that the two parts are related in a way that is similar to the way that the first part and second part of the Profession of Faith by Rousseau.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
国際基督教大学学修教育センター長に就任した。This will involve even more administration. My teaching load remains the same as last year. I will continue to work on my project.

| 次年度使用額の使用計画 |
April - July - write about Part I and Part II of the Critique of Pure Reason. July go to Conference in Madrid and meet with other scholars on the thought of R. Girard. I will give a paper on forgiveness. September - December I will write on the relationship between the Transcendental Deduction and the Antinomy of Pure Reason. I will give a paper in Japanese at the 日本カント協会. January-March I will put all this together into one or two articles.
