I made 3 research trips to France, devoted to Library investigations as well as to attendance and participation to academic symposiums : -June 27-July 5, 2014 : International symposium, "Christian Prigent, trou(v)er sa langue", at the Centre Culturel International de Cerisy. My paper, "La democratie poetique de Christian Prigent. Tumultes et mouvements divers a l’assemblee des mots", will be published in 2016. -August 4-August 28, 2014 : this stay was devoted to intensive research sessions at the Bibliotheque Nationale de France (Paris). -March 4-March 25, 2015 : International symposium, "Dramaturgie du conseil et de la deliberation", held at the Universite de Rouen. I conducted a round table with Mr Marcel Lemonde, former examining magistrate at the Khmers Rouges Tribunal (2006-2010). I also gave a lecture, "Eloquence et dramaturgie : l’histoire des assemblees revolutionnaires d’apres Francois-Alphonse Aulard". The transactions of the symposium are to be published in the coming years. Those stays in France allowed me to keep in touch, and to make new contacts, with many scholars involved in similar research fields, and to discuss with them about future projects in common. Therefore, I also made to Tokyo, in order to attend to the meeting of the Japanese Society for the Study of French Language and Literature (May 24-25, 2014, Ochanomizu University). I had a paper published, last month, in the French academic journal, Orages. Litterature et culture (n°14, mars 2015) : "Le discours le plus tragique et plus pur. Une ebauche de l’hamartia revolutionnaire"

理由
The academic events I have attended to last year have proved quite inspiring for my reflection on the subject matter. In particular, the symposium in Rouen, "Dramaturgie du conseil et de la deliberation", provided me with new insights, and with prospects of further cooperations. I am expecting more from the coming symposiums of next year, more closely related to my topic.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
During the coming FY, I’m planning to make one trip to Paris, in order to take part to two international symposiums : -The first symposium will be held at the Universite Paris-Sorbonne on May 30. It will focus on the theater during the French Revolution, at the core of my personal research. I will give a lecture. -The second symposium will be held at the Bibliotheque Mazarine and the Université Paris-Sorbonne (June 10-12). It deals with history and literature of the 17th century in France : I will give a lecture tracing a connection toward the political culture of the French Revolution. I am also planning to spend the Kakenhi grants to renew my computer and my software, and to buy a large range of books necessary for my research. My long-term project is to achieve an original research on the subject matter I submitted to the JSPS : The representation of the parliamentary scene on the theatrical stage. I will write a text of a few hundred pages, in order to defend it as a "HDR" thesis (Habilitation a diriger les recherches, ie entitlement to be the advisor of PhD students, and to become Professor). Professor Pierre Frantz (Paris-Sorbonne), who agreed to be my advisor for this HDR thesis, is expecting my work by 2017. Afterwards, I hope to find a publisher to publish this thesis as a book.
