研究実績の概要 |
The project has attained the following in the 2016 academic year. 1) Found that a) in all cases, language learners were more critically evaluative in their first language than they were in their second language, and 2) the limitations in critical evaluations could be partially explained by second language proficiency. 2) The complexity of a task influenced critical expression. The simple task included more critical expression, whereas the complex task included more descriptive expressions. 3) Stylistic shift was more likely in complex tasks in the second language, and 4) Stylistic shifts were more likely to take place at descriptive/evaluative boundaries in the text. Finally, a research symposium was held in cooperation with The JACET CT sig in March, 2017.

The data for this project has now been collected as planned. The data has been collected and analysed, and the preliminary results have been reported.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
The plans for the 2017 academic year are to write up the research, and submit the paper to an international Journal. The plan is to submit the main result to Thinking Skills and Creativity.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
研究発表は3月にやる予定でしたが、2017年度の学会は3月ではなく4月1日に行われたため、延長しました。
