研究概要	1)Nd_2CuO_4、Ce_2CuO_4及びその関連化合物の電子構造を、密度汎関数理論にもとずくバンド理論により計算した。2)CuO_2面を記述すると考えられているt-t'-Jモデルを数値的対角化の方法で解析した。さまざまなパラメーター領域で基底状態のエネルギーと波動関数を計算し、ホールをドープしたときの反強磁性相関の変化、ホールの結合エネルギーなどを調べた。3)昨年度発見した電子をキャリアーとする新しい超伝導体Nd_<2-x>Ce_xCuO_4系について、試料の良質化、単結晶合成に成功し、輸送特性、磁気的性質、光学的性質等の諸物性の系統的測定も行った。併せて、前年度までの成果として得られたLa_<2-x>Sr_xCuO_4系単結晶についても比較の対称として同様の測定を行い、正孔ドープと電子ドープとの類似点、相違点を明らかにした。これにより超伝導機構同定の重要な試金石とした。4)BiO層とNdO層を同時に含む新しい超伝導体Bi_2Sr_2(Ln,Ce)Cu2010を発見した。5)昨年度末に発見されたいわゆるBi系超伝導体Bi_2Sr_2Ca_<n-1>Cu_nOy系について、キャリヤ数を変えた良質試料を作成し(単結晶も含む)、輸送特性、磁気的性質、光学的性質等の諸物性の系統的研究を行った。これにより、従来謎とされていた、光スペクトルのドーピング効果について満足できる記述が得られた。更にこの研究を非Cu系に拡張し、Cu系との違いを明らかにした。6)磁場による超伝導転移の広がりの現象について雑音測定を手段に用いて調べたところ、この現象に対する新たな理解が得られた。7)マイクロ波領域の表面インピーダンス測定を可能にした。単結晶試料を用いた作成により、超伝導ギャップの決定には、世界的規模での更なる試料の質の向上が必要なことが分かった。
