弱核子擬ベクトル流時間成分の巨大中間子効果とカイラル不変性の破れ

研究概要	弱核子擬ベクトル流の時間成分は核子の移行運動量に依存するためにソフトパイオンの寄与が40%と巨大である。この時間成分は非対称ベ-タ崩壊のスピン整列相関項の測定から一義的に決められる事を示した。一方擬ベクトル流部分保存則(PCAC)による予言も容易であるので両者の比較は容易でありその結果β崩壊、カイラル不変性ひいてはボソンとしてのパイオンの本質を探る他に例を見ない重要な量である事が分かった。今年度は引続き鏡映対称をなす2つのβ崩壊核の整列相関項の再測定を行って、核子流の時間成分を純粋に決定した。この時間成分は弱磁気項と同程度の小さな量であるので、(1)高い統計と下地計数無しの計測のために、A=12核の高い生成率と純粋な分離を行い、次に(2)偏極なしの純粋な大整列を生成した。また(3)β線角度分布を、β線エネルギ-の関数で決定する等の方法を導入し、特に精度向上のために核反応装置、検出装置をβ線散乱の少ない原子番号の小さい材料で製作した。また核スピン制御の効率を上げるためにA=12核のMg結晶中の超微細構造の解明をする等、信頼度の向上には一段と力を入れた。また100KeV/核子に不安定核を加速して、ビ-ム・薄膜相互作用や超微細相互作用を用いる研究に新しい方法を与えるべき後段加速器を設置して試験中である。現在不安定核用イオン源の設計を行った。また入射核破砕片のβ放射核を反応過程で直接スピン偏極する方法を完成させて実用化した。最近他の時間成分定量に重要な系であるA=16体系の0^-ー0^+遷移のβ崩壊寿命の測定を始めた。特に核反応槽なしの即ち散乱体最小の新機軸にもとずく測定である。次に、弱核子相互作用との比較のために今年度は2重閉殻核 ^<41>Scー ^<41>Ca対の鏡映磁気モ-メントから、核内陽子の質量を測定し、核内クオ-ク効果を定量した。
