光励起された不均一界面における電荷移行過程の解明とその新しい応用

研究概要	光励起下での半導体電極反応の詳細な機構解明は、たとえば電気化学光電池の開発などに重要である。本研究においては不均一界面の電荷移行のプロセスを新しいテクニックであるSTM(走査トンネル顕微鏡)またレ-ザ-パルス励起ポテンシャル法を用いて研究を始め、以下のような重要な成果を得た。 1 半導体一溶液界面のSTM観測が可能となるようなSTM装置の試作をおこなった。まず大気中でのSTM像を得ることができた。STM像を定量性あるものとするための工夫をおこないHOPGで原子像を得た。またMoS_2の良好な像も得ることができた。また光電気化学的反応を水溶中あるいは有機溶媒中において追跡し、MoS_2電極の光溶出機構についての知見を得た。 2 N_2レ-ザ-を用いて、半導体一溶液界面をnsecオ-ダ-に励起、その時のフォトポテンシャルより半導体一溶液界面の電位分布を詳細に検討した。特にSnO_2-SiC界面の電位分布について情報を得ることができアモルファス太陽電池の特性向上に寄与できることがわかった。 3 不均一界面を用いて高精密パタ-ン形成の可能性を追求した。このため新しい光電気化学的手法によるパタ-ン形成法を実施し、高性能の画像等を得た。 4 光励起半導体表面でのガン細胞の殺細胞効果と医療への応用の可能化を検討した。ガン細胞であるHeLa細胞が、光半導体電極上やまた光半導体微粒子をとりこむことにより光照射下で死滅することがわかった。また色素等で修飾した光半導体微粒子を細胞にとりこませその挙動および細胞との相互作用を調べたところ良好な殺細胞効果がみられた。
