研究概要	イセエビ類の初期生活史の解明は、天然におけるフィロゾ-マ幼生の採集の困難なこと、また幼生の人工的な飼育条件が不明なことにより進展がなかった。比較的低温の三陸の水温条件に適した実験種として、南大洋産<Jasus>___ー <lalandii>___ーを用いて、環流による幼生の浮遊、微細藻類の添加による水質の浄化、ムラサキイガイの投餌等を適用することにより、約300日間の飼育で1987年果プエルルスに変態させることができた。飼育方法に検討を加え、1988、1989年には<Palinursu>___ー <elephas>___ー、<Panulirns>___ー <japonicus>___ー、<J.edwardsii>___ー、<J.verreauxi>___ーについて合計6尾のプエルルスを成育した。フィロゾ-マ飼育の際の低い生残率は、飼育環境条件の劣化と関係があると考えられるので、1990年には水質および細菌を調べた微細藻類<Nannochloropsis >___ーsp.を100万cells/mlに添加後数日間細菌数は10^5CFU/mlに増加するが、藻類の繁殖に伴って、2〜3週間10^4ー10^3CFU/mlに安定し、その後再び漸増する。NH_4ーNは藻類の添加直後には培養液の混入により数100μg/lの高い濃度を示すが、藻類の増加と共に急減し、約1週間後にはほとんど検出されない。CODは初期の0.4ppmから、2、4週間後には1.2、2.0ppmに漸増する。フィロゾ-マは第3〜5歩脚の先端でムラサキイガイを捕捉し、口器に運び顎脚を用いて摂餌するが、中腸腺の充実度により摂餌の程度を知ることができる。摂餌は細菌組成においてZoBell培地に青白色および白色の群落を形成する種類、特に前者の優先する場合は良好で、その他雑多なコロニ-の出現する場合は不良であった。これらの事実からCOD、細菌相および摂餌状態を目安として換水を行ったが、その結果、<J.edwardsii>___ーでは10尾、<J.verreauxi>___ーでは17尾のプエルルスを作出した。特に、後者では190尾の第1令幼生から14尾のプエルルスが出現、7%を超える驚異的な生残率を示した。
