Research Abstract |
We examine the effectiveness that a health promotion program based on Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) gives in QOL of 65 years of age or older, community-dwelling Japanese older people by randomized controlled trial (RCT). This study was a parallel design, using an experimental and a control group and a pre-test and post-test. The experimental group conducted a lecture, practice of the component of MOHO including the "interest" "role" "habit". The control group made crafts. The dependent variables in the study were SF -36, QOL26. The statistical test used a t test, and the level of significance was 5%. The significant difference did not have the analysis subject in 20 experimental groups (mean age±SD; 69.4±4.27), control group 22 (69.9±4.29), baseline. In a comparison of the mean change, an experimental group was significantly high in the Role emotional of SF -36(p=.04).
