Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Members of this research integration team had research integration meetings 16 times to exchange opinions about activities in this project. Besides, general meetings were organized twice a year by the research integration team to provide an opportunity to the members in several research groups to exchange information about their research areas and to plan collaborative researches. The project secretariat was set up to carry out management works and to disseminate research achievements of the project. The research integration team decided the comprehensive framework and main direction of this project. The project secretariat operated by a research assistant managed the project website and organized conferences. Cooperation between the two divisions allowed rapid and correct announcements of the research achievement.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本領域では、多様な分野の専門家が一堂に会し、中国長江流域の新石器文化について網羅的な調査・研究を実施した。いわゆる文理の双方にまたがる多数の研究者の研究パフォーマンスを最大限に引き上げ、それを総合稲作文明学という新たな学問領域の創成へと結実させるうえで総括班は主導的な役割を果たすことができた。 「田螺山キャンプ」にさまざまな国籍の若手研究者が参加したことで、関連分野の研究者育成と国際共同研究のシーズ探索へとつなげることが可能となった。また、博物館における領域成果展示や「ひらめき☆ときめきサイエンス」プログラムの実施を通じて、研究成果を広く社会に還元することができた。
