| Research Abstract |
To gain an insight into molecular mechanisms of infection phenomena widely, we choose representative species of virus, bacteria, and parasite (warp studies), and investigate molecular mechanisms of their replication, life cycle, and pathogenesis (weft studies). In addition, molecular mechanisms of host immune response to infections are to be elucidated. This kind of study in a matrix organization would lead us to plural understanding of infection phenomena. We also aim to build up education systems for young scientists in this field.
