Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成33年度の総括班の活動は,各研究計画班代表と事務局からなる総括班会議により策定して,実行した.引き続きコロナ禍で会議の開催等が制限されたため,非常に難しかったがオンライン会議を活用して活動をした.総括班会議で企画した研究領域全体の大研究会は,平成34年4月にオンラインと対面のハイブリッド形式で名古屋大学において4日間にわたり行った.45の拠点から延べ165名が参加する盛大な研究会となった.この研究会では,各計画研究間の情報共有が行われた.
また,新たな公募研究がはじまったため「後半戦キックオフミーティング」を平成33年7月に2日にわたり行った.若手研究者や大学院生を派遣し共同研究を促進するラボローテーションはコロナ禍のために難しかったが,1件のみ実施できた.そして, オンライン会議による「星惑星形成ゼミ」をほぼ毎月開催し,毎回10拠点40名以上が参加した.新学術領域のホームページ(http://star-planet.jp)を引き続き運用し,雇用している研究支援員によりこのホームページでの情報発信を行った.
さらに,星・惑星形成分野での最大級の国際会議であるProtostars & Planetsの開催準備を進めた.特に,収録に相当する本の編集作業を進めた.会議自体の開催は,コロナ禍により再度延期になった.
国際会議延期開催のための準備として,引き続き英語力に長けた研究支援員を雇用して国際的な広報活動等(ホームページ整備や広報等)を行った.

Reason

コロナ禍により,移動を伴う対人の行事であるラボ・ローテーションや参加人数の多い研究集会を多く開催することはできなかった.しかし,オンラインの手法を用いて,研究課題は順調に進めることができた.
予定していた「大研究会」の開催だけでなく,「後半戦キックオフミーティング」を開催したことで,各班の間の共同研究を活発にした.また,コロナ禍で延期にはなったが超大型国際会議 Protostars & Planets VII の開催に向けた準備も順調である.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

なるべく予定通り進める.コロナ禍がさらに治まれば,ラボ・ローテーションを活性化する.
また,予定通り「大研究会」を開催して共同研究を活発化する.毎月おこなっている「星惑星形成ゼミ」を続けていくことで,共同研究を活発化するだけでなく,若手育成にも役立てていく.また,延期になった超大型国際会議 Protostars & Planets VII の準備を進める.
