| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
1) 2015年10月日本海洋学会刊行の国際学術誌Journal of Oceanography 第71巻第5号に当新学術領域の成果発信のために特別セクション"Hot Spots" in the climate system ─ New development in the extratropical air-sea interaction researchを設け，計９編の査読付論文を掲載した．領域関係者計６名が特別セクションの編集委員を務めた．さらに，それら９編の論文を集めた書籍をSpringer社から2016年３月に刊行した．
2) 2016年夏刊行を目指し，日本気象学会のモノグラフ「気象研究ノート」の特集号の執筆・編集を進めた．９つの計画研究班と４つのワーキンググループ，さらには若手チームがそれぞれの章を執筆した．加えて，領域全体で実施した集中観測やそれに基づく大気同化実験からの公開データ，さらには気象研究所と東京大学が共同制作中の全球大気再解析JRA-55の追加プロダクトなどの，当領域からの公開データに関する章も設けた．現時点で原稿はほぼ出揃い，刊行へ向けた最終編集作業に入っている．
