Outline of Annual Research Achievements

研究班として最終年度の５年目として、計画研究と公募研究の連携を図った。とりわけ総括班としては、活発かつ効率的に研究が進むよう視点共有を図り、研究方針を企画調整するとともに、技術や材料の共有を支援し、助言と評価を行った。また、班員間と科学者コミュニティとの連携を促進し、研究領域の社会への定着と次世代研究者の育成を図った。これらの目的で平成２８年度は７月に総括班会議を開催し、学術調査官による助言を得、具体的に次の活動を行った。
まず、７月に班会議と若手研修会を開催し、班員間の情報共有と共同研究促進を図るとともに、班員の研究室に所属する若手研究者を主な対象に次世代研究者育成の促進を図った。更に、学術領域の定着と周辺学術領域への展開ならびに次世代研究者の育成を強化するため、６月に京都テルサにて日本細胞生物学会大会シンポジウム「免疫システムの時空間的制御」（約１００名参加）、３月に京都大学芝蘭会館にて国際シンポジウム（約３００名参加）をそれぞれ共催した。加えて７月に、徳島大学での学術講演会を共催した。
国民との対話については、東京での「知の拠点セミナー」にて胸腺の形成と機能について一般向け講演を行うとともに、岡山県立操山中学校「未来航路学習」にて中学生との対話を行った。また、リンパ節におけるＴ細胞動態と組織環境に関する研究について、生命誌ジャーナルで紹介があり、京都大学で開催された「Nobel Prize Inspiration Initiative in Japan」にパネリストとして登壇した。科学者コミュニティと一般社会に向けたウェブサイトでは本年度、ニュース掲載３９件と約一万回の閲覧、班員の視点共有促進のための班員ブログでは本年度３４件の投稿と約一万回の閲覧を得た。また、オンラインニュースレターを二度発行した。
