Outline of Final Research Achievements

The project management group conducted two major activities for project management and research promotion. For the project management, the group arranged and held annual project meetings, international symposiums and offered the research accomplishments through the project webpage and publication of the protocol book and the special issue of an international journal with the assorted review articles. For research promotion, the super resolution microscope was newly set up as a common facility for the project members and various technical information was provided through the webpage and training courses. The group also support travel fee for young researchers to attend international conferences.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

総括班活動の支援による効率的な研究活動によって、国際的にも競争の激しいncRNA研究分野を先導するような数々の本領域発の成果を発信することができた。また共同機器として設置した超解像顕微鏡を有効活用し、先進的な成果に結びつけた点は研究分野に大きなインパクト与えた。こうした成果によって、我が国のRNA研究の国際的なプレゼンスの向上に大きく貢献した。また次世代を担う研究者の育成にも重要な役割を果たすことができた。
