Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本計画研究「トポロジカル物質ナノ構造の輸送現象」では、半導体ヘテロ構造・低次元ナノ構造や超伝導体・強磁性体のハイブリッド構造等によるトポロジカル物質ナノ構造を用い、新奇なトポロジカル量子現象を引き出し、トポロジカル系に特有なエキゾチックな準粒子の振る舞いを明らかにすることを目的としている。トポロジーとナノ構造に関する研究を進め、対称性・相互作用・近接効果が生む相乗効果、特異な量子現象やエキゾチックな準粒子の発現、トポロジカル物質ナノ構造デバイスの基礎原理の提案などについて、最終年度は以下の実績を得た。
[1]量子ホールエッジを伝搬する高エネルギー電子のフォノン散乱を抑制し、ホットエレクトロンの弾道輸送距離を顕著に伸ばすことに成功した。[2]整数・分数量子ホール系の接合系を利用して、電荷波束の分数化現象の時間分解測定に成功した。[3]占有率1と1/3の微小接合における伝導特性とショットノイズ測定から、対向するエッジチャネル間の電流とエネルギー流を明らかにした。[4]量子スピンホール系における伝導度の異方性とキャパシタンスの横磁場依存性から、トポロジカル転移近傍でワイル半金属的なバンド構造が生じることを明らかにした。[5]半導体細線における弱局在の面内磁場異方性からスピン軌道相互作用を評価する手法を構築し、マヨラナフェルミオンが実現できる狭ギャップ半導体におけるスピン軌道相互作用の検出にめどをつけた。[6]最近発見された磁性ワイル半金属Co3Sn2S2について、カゴメ格子模型を用いて電場印加による磁壁の駆動を理論的に検証し、ジュール熱の発生が少なく磁壁の移動速度が大きいことを明らかにした。[7]電気回路における様々なトポロジカル相(非エルミート・マヨラナ状態など)の性質を明らかにした。
上記は、本新学術領域「トポロジーが紡ぐ物質科学のフロンティア」に貢献する実績である。
