Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は、トポロジカル量子現象とエキゾチック準粒子に関して以下の成果を得た。

■強相関電子系における分類のリダクションに関して具体的な系を提案した。レーザーを銅酸化物超伝導体薄膜に照射することでトポロジカル超伝導体が誘起されることを予言し、同様に重い電子系においてもレーザー誘起のトポロジカル相転移が生じることを示した。■トポロジカル結晶物質を数学の理論であるK理論を使い定式化し、その応用として、トポロジカル結晶絶縁体の表面に現れるトポロジカル表面状態を結晶表面がもつ対称性であるwall paper群を使い分類した。■トポロジカルな励起間の相互作用の影響を計算する手法の開拓を行う一方で、散逸の強い冷却原子系でゼノ効果とベリー位相の相乗効果として異常ホール効果が生じることおよびパリティー時間対称な非エルミート系固有のの臨界現象を明らかにした。■中性子星内部の3P2超流動状態がトポロジカルに非自明な状態であることを明らかにした。さらに、重い電子系超伝導U1-xThxBe13の多重超伝導相が中性子星内部の3P2超流動状態と類似した超伝導状態であることを示し、その非自明なトポロジカル超伝導特性がトンネルコンダクタンスを通して直接観測可能であることを提案した。■低次元ボース粒子系における普遍的な関係式を導出し、また3体相互作用がある場合に新奇な束縛状態の存在を示し、その束縛エネルギーを決定した。■複数のマヨラナ・フェルミオンがリング状に結合している系で、非局所的なゼロエネルギーマヨナラ・フェルミオンが現れる条件と超対称性を議論し、実験方法を提案した。閉じ込められた冷却原子気体に変形された共形対称性があること、その自発的破れるによる有質量南部ゴールドストーンモードが現れることを示した。

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

本計画研究の主要テーマであるトポロジカル超伝導・超流動、強相関系、対称性に基づく理論、さらに非平衡現象などに着実な成果が得られた。進捗状況を大まかに分類して以下にまとめる。

【超伝導・超流動】:超流動・超流動のトポロジカルな性質に関して、中性子星内部の3P2超流動状態と重い電子系超伝導の多重超伝導相との類似性を明らかにできたたことは大きな収穫であった。後者の固体系ではトポロジカル超伝導特性が直接観測可能であるので、これが中性子のトポロジカル超流動性の研究にも役立つものと期待される。
【強相関系】:強相関電子系において得られたレーザー誘起のトポロジカル超伝導は、通常の超伝導体から系統的にトポロジカル超伝導体を作製する指針を与えるものである。今後の実験への具体的な応用が課題である。このレーザー誘起トポロジカル相転移は、以下の非平衡系のテーマとも密接に関係している。今後、融合したテーマとして研究を進めていく。
【非平衡系】:近年、非平衡開放系でのトポロジカルな性質に注目が集まっており、急速に研究が進展している。このテーマの黎明期に、トポロジカルな励起間の相互作用に関する計算手法の開発、散逸の強い冷却原子系での異常ホール効果の発現、パリティー時間対称な非エルミート系の臨界現象など、当初の予想以上に研究が進展した。来年度以降も重点的な研究を行う予定である。
【対称性】:トポロジカル物質の分類・予言には対称性に基づく考察が不可欠である。特に、トポロジカル物質では数学のK理論が威力を発揮してきた。今年度、新たにトポロジカル結晶絶縁体の表面状態をwall paper群を使い分類できた。リング状のマヨラナフェルミオン系に非局所的なゼロエネルギーが現れる超対称性、さらには閉じ込められた冷却原子気体に現れる変形された共形対称性の解明には、やはり対称性が大きな役割を果たした。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

H30年度以降、強相関、対称性、超伝導・超流動のテーマに、近年進展のめざましい非平衡系のトポロジカル量子現象を加え理論的研究を行う。特に領域内での連携を深める。今後の推進方策を以下にまとめる。
(1)強相関系のトポロジカルな性質について研究を行う。特に、強相関と対称性に起因する新奇なトポロジカル相や強相関とバンド構造によるトポロジカル相を明らかにする。
(2)非平衡開放系を記述する非エルミート量子系において、どのようなトポロジカル相が発現するのかを明らかにする。また、孤立量子系を記述するエルミートハミルトニアン系で確立しているトポロジカル周期律表が非エルミート系の場合にどのような変更を受けるかを明らかにする。
(3)トポロジカル結晶物質の分類を更に進める。特にスペクトル系列を使った分類理論を発展させる。また、マヨラナ表面状態やトポロジカル超伝導体に対し、結晶対称性が果たす役割を明らかにする。
(4)トポロジカル超流動・超伝導系やトポロジカル絶縁体系に対して対称性に基づいた有効場の理論を構築し、その物理的帰結を解明する。29年度の成果であるDIIIトポロジカル超伝導・超流動のボース励起に注目して、表面ボース励起を介した表面マヨラナ準粒子を検出する方法を提案する。
(5)中性子3P2超流動の渦状態の相図を決定する。基底状態がサイクリック相になる条件を調べる。それらの中性子星への応用を議論する。
