Outline of Annual Research Achievements

H29年度はまず、量子高精度測定で多角的に新しいスキームの提案を行った。特に、スピン間の相互作用を有効利用した量子高精度測定のスキームや、ノイズを利用するという発想による新しい量子計測のスキームを提案した。量子テレポーテーションを用いることでノイズの特性を活用した磁場センサの提案では、量子テレポートを頻繁に行うことで位相緩和が抑制できることを応用し、感度を向上させる手法を理論的に示した。従来の方法では磁場の推定精度は測定時間の平方根に比例するのに対し、本手法では磁場の推定精度は測定時間に比例する。測定時間が十分に長い場合は、従来手法よりも桁違いに高い感度の磁場センサを実現できる可能性が示された。
また、ハイブリッド量子系におこる協同現象による特異な現象の解析を行い、数理的な構造が明らかになった。またその制御方法による量子情報機能の発現や実験系での検証ついても検討を行った。
カーボンナノチューブのトポロジカル物性に関する理論研究を発展させた。すべての種類(chirality)のカーボンナノチューブに対してトポロジー数を解析的に求め、分類表を作成した。トポロジー数によってナノチューブの端状態の数が決定するが、その電気伝導測定による観測について議論した。また、電子フォノン結合によるFranck-Condon効果、THz光の照射によるフォトカレント特性について理論研究を進めた。
材料選択・デバイス構造最適化に向けて、より高速に動作するよう、昨年度に開発した電子フォノン相互作用を考慮可能なフォノン輸送シミュレータを改良した。コードの見直しとともに、エネルギー積分の定式化を変更することにより高速化を達成した。また、グラフェン量子ドット・ハイブリッドトランジスタにおいて、量子ドットがドナーとして働く場合のモンテカルロ解析を行ない、観測された移動度向上のメカニズムを明らかにした。

Reason

理論と実験の共同研究が順調に進展しはじめており、ダイヤモンドNVセンター、カーボンナノチューブ、半導体ナノワイヤ、スピンアンサンブルなどを中心にしたハイブリッド量子系での研究協力が順調に進められており、研究成果が出てきている。また、ハイブリッド量子系における新しい量子現象の予言や実現化方法の提案や、またこれらハイブリッド量子系の新しい物理を用いた技術応用についても新しいアイデアが出てきている。また、これらの数理的な構造の解析も進んでおり、ハイブリッド量子科学の理論的基礎の創成に向けて順調に研究が進んでいる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

理論研究グループでは、ハイブリッド量子科学の基礎創成に向けて、理論の枠組みの構築と、ハイブリッド量子現象と応用の理論提案を強化していく。
量子高感度測定や量子協同現象、新しい量子物性などを中心に新しいスキームや現象の提案を行い、ハイブリッド量子科学のもつ可能性をさらに発展させる。量子高感度測定ではエンタングルメントや熱浴環境の役割と応用を進め、より将来性のあるスキームの提案を目指すともに、その限界についても議論する。また、量子物性を中心として、複数の量子ドットと超伝導体のハイブリッド構造の特性や、スピン軌道相互作用に起因するアンドレーフ束縛状態の特性の解明を進める。また、輸送現象に着目し、カーボンナノチューブにおける電子フォノン相互作用について定量的な評価を通した輸送特性におけるFranck-Condon効果や、また輸送現象における量子的な効果や役割についても検討する。
電子・フォノン相互作用を考慮したシミュレータにおいては、R行列理論や再帰グリーン関数法などを導入して高速化を図る。あわせて、引き続きハイブリッド量子系の測定結果の解析を行う一方、ハイブリッド量子科学の数理的な構造を解析することで、ハイブリッド量子科学の基礎理論を深める。グループ間交流、国際研究交流については順調に進んでおり、若手を中心に新しい共同研究も生まれている。今後さらに戦略的に研究協力を進める予定である。
