ダークエネルギーの理論モデル構築とその観測的検証

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

まず、ダークエネルギーの大きさについて、銀河やダークマターの少ない領域であるヴォイドの存在に動機付けられた宇宙の一様性を仮定しない宇宙モデルを用いて、新しい制限を得ることに成功した。
修正重力理論については、まず実効的な重力定数が時間変化するスカラーテンソル理論について、
Planckデータと比較し、 宇宙晴れ上がり時の重力定数が現在の値と 0.19% 以上ずれていてはならない(95%CL)という厳しい制限を得た。さらに、より一般な場合について検証を行う目的で、スカラーテンソル理論や F(R) 重力理論における重力波の伝播を調べ、伝播の仕方が一般相対論から変化し、位相がずれることなどを見つけた。修正重力理論についてはその他、5次元 F(R) 重力におけるシュバルツシルド=ド・ジッター時空での蒸発及び反蒸発による安定性、F(R)重力理論による constant-roll インフレーションやエネルギー条件等の研究を行った。また、修正重力理論により宇宙項問題を解くことを考え、sequestering や位相的場の理論を使ったシナリオを調べた。さらに、ベクトル場が重力と結合している一般的な枠組みであるベクトルテンソル理論に基づき、宇宙の加速膨張を引き起こす有効な模型の構築を行った。特に、理論的な問題を含まない最も一般的な理論である拡張されたプロカ理論に基づくダークエネルギーモデルに対して,超新星探査、CMB温度ゆらぎ、バリオン音響振動、宇宙赤方偏移空間での密度揺らぎの成長率のデータから観測的な制限を与え,、標準的な加速膨張モデルである宇宙項よりも、観測的に好ましいという興味深い結果を得た。

Reason

三年目を終えた段階で、極めて活発に研究論文発表が実現しており、順調に研究が推移しているものと判断する。また昨年度は特に、重力波の新たな観測データが得られたことにより、拡張重力理論に基づく宇宙の加速膨張に、これまでにない新たな厳しい制限を与えることが可能となったことが特筆できる。
さらに、昨年一年を費やして本特定領域研究(国際共同研究加速基金分)で雇用した博士研究員(Jean-Baptiste Durrive)を中心に、修正重力、とくに重力子が有限質量を持つようなモデルにおける重力多体計算コードの開発を進めることができた。
また、昨年度は8月28日から30日にかけて、国際会議"4th Korea-Japan joint workshop onDark Energy at KMI"を名古屋大学にて主催した。100人を超える出席者が世界各国から集まり、本研究課題の内容について、成果発表と活発な討論を行うことができた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

すばる望遠鏡HSCによるデータが得られ始めたことから、B01とも連携をして、ダークエネルギーモデル、修正重力モデルに対する観測の制限をつける研究を全力で推進する。
また、重力波の観測にも急激な進展があることから、どのような観測によって修正重力の検証が可能かを調べるとともに、宇宙項問題や量子重力と関連し修正重力理論の研究を進める。また、最近発見されたという暗黒物質を持たない銀河についても修正重力理論との関係を調べる。
さらに、スカラーテンソル理論およびベクトルテンソル理論を統一した,スカラーベクトルテンソル理論における宇宙論を、ダークエネルギーのならず、インフレー ションとの関連にも意識して研究を進める。
