Outline of Annual Research Achievements

光触媒: 前田、桑原(A02分担)との協働により、N/F共ドープルチル型TiO2 (TiO2:N,F)について計算化学と実験を組み合わせた研究を行い、N/F共ドープにおけるNとFそれぞれの役割を実験および計算の双方から明らかにした。また実験においては、ルチル型TiO2:N,Fナノ粒子の合成法を最適化し、代表的な酸素生成光触媒であるBiVO4に匹敵する活性を示すことを見出した。
電池材料: 内本、陰山(A01分担)が中心となり、マンガン系の層状ペロブスカイト酸フッ化物が従来のリチウム電池に匹敵するほどの高容量を示すことを発見した。この発見により、従来のリチウム電池からフッ素電池へのパラダイムシフトをもたらす展開も見えつつある。
蛍光体: 松石が合成した新規酸水素化物Sr3-xAxAlO4H (A = Ca, Ba) において、ヒドリドイオン混合配位による高い電子雲膨張効果の結果、賦活されたCe3+やEu2+の最低5d励起準位の低エネルギー化が起こることを発見した。この結果、同構造の酸フッ化物ホストと比べて、励起帯・発光帯が長波長側にシフトすることを認めた。さらに田部らは、K2MgH4 とKMgH3をホスト材料に用いて、ヒドリドイオンがもたらす電子雲膨張効果をホストの結晶構造の観点から明らかとした。
熱電材料: 森が中心となり、熱電性能の極めて低い絶縁性の酸化物MgTi2O5をTiNと複合アニオンコンポジット化することで、熱電特性の大幅な改善に成功した。
電子材料: 長谷川、荻野(A01代表)の協働により、層状ペロブスカイトSr2IrO4薄膜について、フッ化に伴う物性、電子状態変化を調べた。SrO岩塩層へのFの挿入とOの部分的除去がIrの4価の電子状態を維持したまま起こること、Sr2IrO4-xF2x薄膜が半導体的挙動を示すことを明らかとした。
