Research Abstract

スピン軌道相互作用を用いれば、電流を流すことでスピンの流れ(スピン流)を発生し、結果として磁化を発生することが可能である(スピンホール効果)。
一方、交換相互作用は磁化からスピン流や電流という電子の流れを生じるはたらきがある)。これらを組み合わせると磁化から発生したスピン流をスピン軌道相互作用を用いて電流に変換するという逆スピンホール効果が可能である。これにより磁場をかけるだけで電圧を全くかけずに電流が取り出せることになる。
この効果を半導体のRashbaスピン軌道相互作用の場合及び金属系のスピン軌道相互作用の場合に解析した。
解析はゲージ不変性を保った形で進め、従来の理論では欠けていた電荷保存を満たし形の物理的に正しい結果を導いた。その結果、確かに磁化ダイナミクスからスピン流生成、及び電流生成が起ることが示された。
