Research Abstract

新型多機能ナノチューブデバイスの提案に向けて, 以下のような成果が得られた.
・共鳴輻射力による力学的なナノチューブの構造選別の理論について、近似的な表式を導き、輻射力の非輻射緩和依存性について明らかにした。
・Ti(001)面上の(5,5)、(4,4)、(3,3)単層ナノチューブは、直径が小さくなるほど吸着力が強くなり、アーチ型構造へと変化することを第一原理計算で示した。このような構造でもナノチューブは伝導性を維持している。
・ナノチューブのチェーン長Nに対してオーダーNで第一原理計算が可能なオーダーNグリーン関数法を開発して、テスト計算を完了した。
・Overbridging Boundary-Matching法などを用い、カーボンナノ構造体やジェリウムマルチリード構造体に対する電子輸送特性シミュレーションを行った。また、多電子系の相関エネルギーをより正確に計算することが可能な新しいシミュレーション手法としてDirect Energy Minimization(DEM)法の提案・開発を行った。
・炭素系ナノデバイス形成において、グラフェン・酸化物界面での自発的局所磁化発生のメカニズムを解明し、機能性デバイスの設計を行った。
・電子相関効果を第一原理的に自己無撞着決定する方法(草部)が伝導度計算に応用可能であることを、欧州におけるデバイスシミュレータ開発の第一人者との間で確認し、将来の利用に関する契約を行った。
・カーボンナノチューブ/電極界面での電子状態を調べるためのモデルとして, ベンゼン分子やペンタセンと金属表面との界面での電子状態を調べた. ベンゼン分子については、有機/金属界面の電子準位接続の基板金属依存性は、金属-分子間距離が重要な役割を果たすことが明らかになった.また、ペンタセン分子/金属界面は軌道混成が強く、界面電気二重層は単純な電界移動のみでは見積もることができないことがわかった。
