| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
2023年５月と12月に25日にオンラインで班会議を開催し、研究視点の共有、研究の進捗状況の確認、全体的な研究の取りまとめについて議論した。
日本列島については、工藤・中園・松本により、旧石器時代から縄文時代にかけての文明創出に至る長期的様相について明らかにした。弥生時代から古墳時代にかけては、上野が象徴的遺物と社会の複雑化との関係について新たな知見を得た。
アンデスについては、松本雄一がモニュメント／アートと景観の関係について分析し、神殿の出現と周囲の景観の関係性が多様であることを明らかにした。メソアメリカにおいては、佐藤・中園がテオティワカン遺跡出土土器の胎土分析を実施し、大多数の在地産土器の中に搬入土器が混じる様相を明らかにした。オセアニアについては、石村が自然環境とアートの関係について、桑原がイレズミと木や竹に彫られる彫刻との関係について多角的に分析し、物質・身体・心の間の相互関係について新たな知見を得た。
第９回全体会議（国際会議）「出ユーラシアにおける王権の創成：超越的力出現のメカニズム」では、松本がセッション３「Images, designs and human representations」の議長として、Karl Taube氏、Erica Hill氏とともに超越的力の出現とアートの関係について議論した。またセッション5“Information accumulation in text and iconography”において上野が、時間認識と造形化の方向性、儀礼の創出と遂行との関係に関する比較研究の視点について指摘した。
第10回全体会議では、B01班の大西秀之、B02班の川畑秀明とともにセッション４「モノとココロの人類史」をオーガナイズし、5 年間の研究成果を踏まえて考古学・民族誌・心理学・生物学の視点から本領域の成果についてまとめ、今後の課題について議論した。
