Research Abstract

ジョセフソン効果と完全に量子力学的に共役な、磁束が細い超伝導細線をコヒーレントにトンネルして横切り現象コヒーレント量子位相スリップ(CQPS)効果の研究を進め、NbN細線を使った実験で、理論的予測通り、量子位相スリップのエネルギーの線幅に対する指数関数的依存性が確認できた。また観測されたCQPCエネルギーの絶対値も、ほぼ理論通りの値をよく反映していた。CQPSを使った新規な磁束量子ビットでラビ振動を観測することにも成功した。
磁束駆動型ジョセフソンパラメトリック増幅器(JPA)を使ったいくつかの実験を行ってきた。磁束量子ビットの分散読み出しにおいて、JPAを測定系における前置増幅器として実際に使い、量子ビット状態の単事象で高忠実度の量子非破壊読み出し、また量子跳躍の観測にも成功した。JPAでのパラメトリック発信現象での位相シフトを利用した新規な量子ビット読み出し法を開発した。この方式は、読み出し信号がラッチするという特別な利点がある。
共振器中に入れた磁束量子ビットを使いラムダ型の準位を持つ量子系を実現し、印可するマイクロ波の強度を調節することにより、系のインピーダンス変調を実現し、この現象を利用して反射波の完全な消滅(インピーダンスマッチング)と周波数の下方変換を観測した。またこの現象を利用した実時間でのマイクロ波の単光子計測に成功した。
理論的な研究では以下の成果を上げた。複数の導波管の間を可変な準位系で結合する新規な単光子のルーターの提案を行った(PRA 2014)。また有限な断面積を持つ導波路での単光子の制御方式を提案し(PRA 2013)、近接場光子の特異な性質の推測(Nat. Comm. 2014)を行い、量子インターネットの詳細な解析をコード分離の複数アクセスを使い行った(Sci. Reports 2013)。更に、ハイブリッド回路QEDや量子メモリでの光子介在電子輸送の高効率化を実現する新規な回路設計を行った(RMP 2013)。
