Research Abstract

[制御1]直列3重量子ドットの1-3電子状態の検出・制御
微小磁石法による電子スピン共鳴に適した直列3重量子ドットを計算シミュレーションにより設計、試作した。3つのゲート電極で3ドットの電荷状態が制御できること、1個の電荷計でその電荷状態を識別できることを確認した。この結果の基に試料構造を最適化した。また、微小磁石を用いた非破壊、両方向スピンの読み出し法を開発した。
[制御2]スピン制御技術
g因子制御、微小磁石ゲートや原子核によるオーバーハウザー場などに起因する不均一なゼーマン場の元での直列二重量子ドットの伝導現象を理論的に解析した。特にスピンボトルネック効果に着目した。またスピンに起因する電流閉塞現象で見られる過渡電流を調べ、その積分値が素電荷の分数倍になることを示し、実験と比較した。
[伝送2]表面弾性波による単一電子伝送
表面弾性波(SAW)発生器であるインターディジタルトランスデゥサーを作成し、その特性を評価した。更に、量子細線を伝播するSAW電流が量子化されることを確認し、必要技術の立ち上げをほぼ完了した。
[観測1]高速量子ビット測定技術
量子ドットのエネルギー反交差をキャパシタンスとして検出する技術の確立を目指した研究を行った。半導体ポイント接合(QPC)と二重量子ドットの結合系に独立に高周波信号を印加することにより、数十Hzから数GHzの広帯域でのキャパシタンス測定をオンチップの位相敏感測定(ロックイン検出)によって実現した。ドット間あるいはドット-電極間の電荷移動に伴い、QPCの平均電流の変化としてキャパシタンス信号が観測された。ドット間トンネル領域では、ドット間の量子力学的なトンネル結合を反映した量子キャパシタンスを観測した。
