Outline of Final Research Achievements

The goal of understanding the characteristics of information processing in biological brains has led to multifaceted research at the synaptic, cellular, and cerebral network levels. Particularly at the synaptic and cellular levels, insights were gained into the mechanisms of visual information transmission and neural circuit development in different brain regions during sensory information processing in the cerebral cortex's visual areas. Furthermore, at the synaptic level, a new analysis method for synaptic development in cultured cell systems was proposed. Additionally, research primarily at the cerebral network level focused on the inherent spontaneous activity of biological brains, combining human brain big data with model animal brain analysis, and developing novel analysis methods using deep learning and machine learning.
