Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Tojisha-kenkyu has two aspects; new method for "discovering" new knowledge like other disciplines, and new intervention that brings "recovery". As for discovery aspect, we refined the "information gathering difficulty theory" suggested in tojisha-kenkyu on the mechanism of autism tic spectrum disorders in cooperation with other fields. We also applied the hypothesis to speech control, face recognition, personal space, body image, hyperacusis and chronic pain and carried out verification experiments. Regarding recovery aspect, effectiveness of tojisha-kenkyu as an intervention was verified by cross-sectional survey and follow-up survey. Additionally, we developed the protocol of tojisha-kenkyu and conducted user-led clinical research.
