Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は、A01・A02班により創造・集積化されたπ造形分子の集積体(π造形システム)のキャリア伝導・光・磁気・機械的特性を明らかにし、その結果をシーズとする新現象・新機能の開拓と新奇機能性素子の探索を目的とする。5年間の研究計画において前半は基礎物性の解明・静的な機能性素子作製を、後半は動的変調をトリガーとする新たな機能の『造形』に挑戦した。より具体的に、平成30年度はA01・A02班により創造・集積化されたπ造形システムに対して、平成29年度と同様に一般的な固体物理の手法を用いた物性測定と、MOS型トランジスタ・両極性トランジスタ・発光トランジスタ作製に加え、電解質を用いた高密度キャリ蓄積・高強度電場による機能創出、高輝度発光素子に挑戦した。具体的には、グラフェンへの超高密なキャリアを数秒でドーピングする方法を見出した。また、π造形システムにおける熱電特性の伝導度依存性も明らかにした。加えて、様々な発光性分子や高分子の提供を受け、電気化学発光セルの高機能化を実現した。微細加工技術を用いたDFB型レーザー発振にも成功し、電流励起によるレーザー発振の基盤技術も確立している。特に、平成30年度は歪みによる動的変調をトリガーとする新たな機能の『造形』にも挑戦し、歪みによる円偏光発光の実現や歪と電解質ドーピングを組み合わせた金属・絶縁体転移などの成果を挙げた。
以上のように、これまでの基礎物性およびintrinsic-π機能の実現と電解質を用いた機能性素子作製に成功だけでなく、動的変調をトリガーとする新たな機能の『造形』にも成功した。
