Research Abstract |
The main results obtained in this study are as follows : 1. High temperature materials storage in rock mass. (1)Comparing the results obtained by field test with by theoretical analysis, it was found that both were agreed with well and efficiency was confirmed. (2)It was supposed that the case which high polymer materials were used at the surface of openings for preventing a leakage of heated water. From the results of strength and deformation test for resins at high temperature, it was found that the strength became lower with rising temperature, however thermal properties did not change at high temperature. (3)From the results of stability of openings, it was found that the cracks by shear stress occurred in resins and improvements by mixing materials which had small extension would be needed. 2. Low temperature materials storage in rock mass. (1)It was supposed that the case which was stored in sand stone rock mass. From the results of theoretical analysis, it was found that the cracks were occurred by shrinkage around openings. (2)As one of the methods for preventing the leakage of liquid and gas from cracks, water curtain system and ice lining system were proposed. From the results of analysis and experiments, it was found that those methods would become useful one. (3)It was supposed that the case which high polymer materials were used at the surface of openings for preventing a leakage of liquid and gas. By analysis used values of resins which were obtained at low temperature, it was found that the cracks by tensile stress occurred in resins and improvements by mixing materials which had small extension would be needed.
