Research Abstract |
The author investigated the differences of the effects on children between preschool and day nursery curriculum. The conclusions were as follows : 1) As to body awareness, day nursery children up to 5 and 6 months of age drew pictures of larger size, showed more excellent physical fitness (made more points in total scores), and felt more relaxed and satisfied in mind and body than preschool children of the same age. 2) Day nursery children were able to recognize the parts of body better than preschool children. It was considered to be the effects of long nursing period of a day. 3) Preschool. children's plays were more conspicuous in the whole behavior characteristics than day nursery children's.
