Research Abstract

次世代の有機電気化学における新しい先端的研究領域の開拓と創造が模索された。
前年度における研究成果に基づいて、有機電気化学の新領域は、電極反応の反応場である電極界面に対する新しい概念の構築と展開なしでは開拓できないという基本理念の下で研究が進められた。その結果、電極界面反応場は下記の3つの新しい概念から成り、各々に設計・制御の新しい原理と手法が求められることが検証された。
(1)三次元機能修飾電極界面反応場:分子識別機能、選択的吸着・透過・配向機能、不斉機能などをもつ反応場が設計され、そこでの有機電極反応の解析を通じて機能発現が実証された。
(2)超イオン雰囲気電極界面反応場:溶融塩系、固体電解質系、気相電解系、不均一電解液系、超強酸・超強塩基系、電解発生酸・塩基系、溶解電極系、超疎水性電極系などの反応場が設計され、そこでの有機電極反応の解析を通じて反応制御の新しい局面が開かれた。
(3)エネルギー照射電極界面反応場:プラズマ系、超音波照射系、光照射系、磁場照射系、超高電位印加系などの反応場が設計され、そこでの有機電極反応の解析を通じて化学エネルギーだけでは生起しない新しい電極反応が開発された。
以上により、有機電気化学の新しい研究領域は、電極界面反応場の新しい概念と原理・手法に基づく設計と制御によってもたらされる反応の帰納的、能動的かつ合目的的な超精密制御の追究にあると結論される。
