Research Abstract |
Memoranda of Tokyo University Lectures on Physics at the period of 1941-43 by SHIMODA Koichi as one of the students have been collected. Making a fair copy of the memorandum of Kaya's Lecture "Theory of Magnetism" at Hokkaido University in 1936 by MIYAHARA Syohei as one of the students is now in progress. The document of my interview with M.Kotani and T.Inui at 15 June 1977 has been published. Essays on M,Kotani at the early stage of quantum mechanics in Japan and on my experience in collecting documents and interviewing with key persons of history of solid state physics in Japan have been published. A critical biography of T.Sone, the experimental physicist who had first found lambda-type anomaly in magnetic susceptibility at Neel temperature of antiferromagnet at 1914 for MnO,discovered "Morin anomaly" of hematite 36 years in prior to Morin's rediscovering "Morin anomaly"and offered the most reliable date of magnetic susceptibility of hydrogen gas and other gases at 1919, has been completed and is in press now.
