Research Abstract |
Many researchers are now studying of huge floating structures in connection with environmental problems to utilize offshore space as a base of human activity. These huge floating structures can not be applied by traditional techniques in naval architecture and ocean engineering, because of non experimental huge ones in our human history. This research project are carried out in aiming to develop the computer program to estimate dynamic responses of such huge floating structures in waves. In this report following subjects are summarized : (1) Concept designs of huge floating structures (2) Studies on hydroelastic responses of huge floating bodies (3) Interactions of huge floating body and ocean current (4) Numerical calculations of nonlinear hydrodynamics
