Research Abstract |
This research project teats the reconstruction of the geometrical basis of Leonardo's theory. The aim of the project is to apply the key of golden-section in his theory of human proportion. In his real drawing of Vitruvian man the author found some remarkable facts particularly on the head and chest, which has not solved in former studies. According to this application author verifies that mathematical basis of the feature of his Vitruvian man. From the center of the superior labium, the golden-section series stand on proportional division line in those features. The arc of the circle on the neck is the unit of this golden-section. From the author's previous studies to this report, the term "divina proportione", in Leonardo's description of "paragone", means the golden-section.
