Research Abstract	粒子ビームを用いた材料研究の分野で先駆的な研究を進めている京都大学工学研究科原子核工学専攻および中国北京大学重イオン物理研究所と工業物理系教室が、大学間協定に基づいて粒子ビームによる材料科学に関する協力研究を進め、一層の研究の高度化と新分野開拓を図りつつある。平成9年10月〜11月、京都大学の神野郁夫、今井誠の両班員を北京大学へ派遣した。神野は、重イオンに対するシリコン表面障壁型検出器の応答について講演した。また、今井はガリウムひ素標的表面付近での水素イオンの中性化と炭素薄膜通過による高電離シリコン励起状態生成と放出電子スペクトルについて講演した。一方、両班員は北京大学側の最近の粒子ビーム利用実験の現状を聴いて、討論した。平成9年12月、京都大学の木付逸郎代表を北京大学へ派遣した。木村は核分裂反応断面積の精密測定と核分裂片中性子同時測定について講演した。また、北京大学側の最近の核分裂実験の現場に赴き、実験データについて意見を交わした。平成10年1月、北京大学の包尚聨代表および趙子強と張国輝両班員を京都大学に招いた。まず、包は最近の核分裂実験解析の結果を紹介し、これについて討論した。次いで、趙は金属や半導体のクラスターイオンを絶縁物膜上に打ち込むことによって製造した新材料について講演し、討論を行った。最後に、張はCa-40の(n,α)反応で生成するα粒子のエネルギーと放出角度の測定結果について発表し、これに対し質疑応答をした。さらに、京都大学におけるイオン分析実験装置の現場において、進行中の実験の詳細を視察し、そこで議論した。以上のように、最終年度を迎えた本協力研究は、研究者の交流を盛んに行い、実質的な成果を挙げるとともに、本格的な研究協力への途を開くに至った。
