Research Abstract	(1)東ガ-ト帯北部ブバネスワール周辺地域の変泥質岩中のモナツアイトのエレクトロンマイクロプローブU-Pb-Th化学年代を測定し、約10億年のコア年代と、約7-8億年と約5億年のリム年代が得られた。また、東ガ-ト帯中部のヴィサカパトナム周辺地域では、ガ-ネット花崗岩のSm-Nd同位体年代検討を行い、枯渇マントルモデル年代として24億年、全岩アイソクロン年代15億年、鉱物アイソクロン年代として約10億年を得た。これらの年代は、同地域でごく最近R.Shawによって得られた多くのSm-Nd年代と整合的であり、同地域の重複造構史を支持する。 (2)東カート帯中部ヴィサカパトナム周辺地域のアルミナスグラニュライトは、Post-Archaean泥質岩類の化学組成特徴を持つこと、風化の進んだ大陸火成岩類起源の泥質グレイワッケで、受動大陸縁辺の大陸棚の浅海環境で形成したと見られることが示された。また、Euの正異常と負異常の2種類の岩石が認められ、これらの岩石の起源は、明瞭に成因の異なる2種類の火成岩類であることが指摘された。 (3)南インド原生代グラニュライト帯の南部を横切るAchankovil Shear Zoneの剪断運動は、右ずれ剪断であるとされていたが、同剪断帯の少なくとも一部の岩石の非対称構造は、左ずれ剪断運動を示すことが明らかにされた。これはインドとマダガスカルの先カンブリア代ゴンドワナ対比の考察に、重要な制約を与える。 (4)その他、南インド原生代地域に貫入するアルカリ酸性貫入岩体や、変炭酸塩岩類の詳しい岩石学的性質を記載し、それらの岩類の形成条件や周辺地域の変成条件、流体侵入の機構などを考察した。以上の研究成果は、国際・国外誌や大学紀要などの英文論文を中心とする13編、国際シンポジウム等での講演5題として公表された。
