Research Abstract |
Many Japanese prostitutes, which were called karayukisan, had gone to Manchuria since 19th century. Although Japanese people were excluded from Chinese society, karayukisan were exceptionally received. Some of them got married with Chinese men. They made remittance to their family in Japan. Each remittance was not so much, but it was helpful for their family.
