答えが決まっていない事態における行動選択とその学習を支える脳内過程の解明

| Research Abstract |
本年度はまず,昨年度に本研究課題の一環として実施したfunctional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)を用いた実験のデータを再解析(Psychophysiological interaction analysis)した。その結果,答えが決まっていない事態における行動選択過程においては特に内側前頭前皮質と前部帯状回とに機能的な関連が存在することが明らかとなった。これら結果はこれまでに報告されていない新たな知見であることから,その成果を国際誌向けの論文にまとめ投稿した。論文はすでにNeuroscience Lettersに受理され刊行されている。同データは,国際学会であるThe 15th World Congress of Psychophysiology (IOP 2010)においてポスター発表した。
また,研究課題と関係の深い先行研究のメタ分析を実施した。メタ分析では答えの存在する事態における意志決定についての研究と答えが存在しない事態における事態における意志決定の研究で観察された脳活動部位の比較を行った。その結果,答えの存在する事態のうち,答えの予測可能性が高い事態では眼窩野の内側部に活動の増加が認められていたが,答えの存在する事態のうち答えの予測可能性が低い事態と答えが存在しない事態では内側前頭前皮質に活動の増加が認められていた。これらの結果は,予測可能性の高低だけではなく,答えの有無によって意志決定に関与する前頭部位のネットワークが変化することを示していた。このメタ分析成果は2本のレビュー論文としてまとめ,一本はすでに「生理心理学と精神生理学」に受理され現在印刷中である。もう一本は国際誌向けに執筆したものであり,現在審査中である。また,現在実験も進行中である。
